Industrial Fishing is killing our oceans
A landmark study made by the University of California revealed that only four percent of the world's oceans remains untouched by humans. (fishing, polution climate changes and more) Global seafood catch in the late 1980's has been declined in despite of a faster technology used to catch fish. We've eaten a lot of fish. 80 percent of seafood species are recovering of the depletion. 80 percent of the seafood in America is imported. Much of it comes from poor countries this is the way that local communities support their economy. The excessive way of fishing is harming the marine habitat. Centuries of old habitats such as cora gardens are being destroyed in a second. Oceans have remarkable ressistance if we let them bounce back, they will have the opportunity to recuperate.

We think that we have to take good care of our planet because if not we will be left with no touristic reasources such as the coral gardens. We have to moderate our fishing to onaly what we need.

As a minor, kingdom officials had adviced or helped him rule because of his age. Teen can now make major desitions on his own. This king feels turning 18, is a big responsability. He has a lot of support of his mother.

We think that it is great to have a young king. But, don't forget that he is a teen, he can't make desitions. It is good that he has all of good support to make better desitions.

Dubai kissing couple face jail as appeal fails
A couple of tourists kissed themselves in public in Dubai. A law in Dubai is that people can't kiss themselves in public. They where caught kissing and touching themselves intimately. This couple have a 30 day to have the court decision that will be a month in the jail plus a $300 fines for drinking alcohol.
We think this is ridiculous because when you are in a relationship you demonstrate your love by kissing and hugging so this is very weird. This country should understand that this people are tourists they come from a different culture were people show there love in a physical way.

Mexico Apologizes after soldiers kill two students
The Mexican government is apologizing to the families of the students Jorge Antonio Mercado Alonso(23) and Javier Francisco Arredondo Verdugo( 24) after two soldiers killed them early Friday. These Mexican soldiers where chasing some criminals, the soldiers shot, and killed the two students. The Mexican government feels very bad about this and the federal government will intensify this investigation to find out what happened. Both students where scholarship students.

We think that it is a terrible loss that two good students where killed by accident. We can't believe that the police shot these kids, even though it was an accident. It is very good that the government apologizes for this accident, but it won't cure this big damage.

Kenya Rounds up zebras for starving lions
Lions in Kenya are starving. Wild life officials are ferrying zebras to a park in the south of the country to feed starving lions. By doing this they will prevent the conflict of lions eating humans. There was a drought in the country. One of the worst in 26 years. This heat affected the ecosystem. Lots of herbivores died. Then, carnivores don't have anything to feed themselves, their only option is to eat humans. They're only 2,000 lions left so their concerned about them. About 4,000 zebras are being transferred, so that carnivores can eat well.

We think that it is very good that people do something about the ecosystem. The drout was very bad, but it is good that people do something about this.

Another Winter blast brings Dismay, Delight
Some countries in the U.S.A are under severe weather warnings. The blizzard just hit Illinois and Minnesota. Now, the storm has moved to the coast, bringing more snow to New York, Philadelphia, and to Washington. Washington has received 10 inches of snow, New York 20 inches, and Philadelphia has received 22inches!! For the schools, this is very bad. They had to shut the schools down because of the blizzard. For the kids, this is very good. They get school days off, and get to catch up with homework.

We think that it is good to have a little snow once in a while, but it is not good to have that much of a severe weather.

Eco Solutions
To save the planet, the world has invented the solar power electricity and wind mills. When neither of those work, the people stay without electricity. Now, there is a new source in Europe that unites them all. There are windmills in the water, and all of the windmills are united by some underwater cables. In that way, when one wind mill doesn't work, the cable transport the electricity from one mill to another.
